Since first opening the doors of our little bakery and food retail shop in Walton Street in 1995 we have stuck to the simple principle of making almost everything we sell fresh from scratch on a daily basis - producing an original selection of cakes, pastries and cookies. Each morning our stores are filled with the aroma of delicious morning pastries, cinnamon buns, in-season fruit filled Danish pastries and our iconic croissants –all freshly baked on the premises.
Each day you will find an array of hand crafted, artisan sourdough breads side by side with an inspiring, seductive range of cooked and prepared foods. Being ingredient led, we use what’s in season, source authentic, local, organic and Fairtrade where possible with an emphasis on British and European produce.
Our food is simple honest and genuine, flavoured with spices, herbs and ingredients drawn from the culinary roots of Mediterranean cooking, with a pinch of Asian for taste and of course created by people who love preparing it and are happy to talk endlessly about it.
Everything we make can be enjoyed in any one of our three Baker & Spice neighbourhood stores, open early each day for amazing breakfasts, delicious lunches or wonderful aromatic teas, coffees and cake right through the day to early evening and of course you can take it all home with you. you can also find us in Selfridges Food Hall off Oxford Street for freshly prepared food perfect to take away.
